Swim Lessons

2022 Schedule 

Session 1: 

Weekdays June 20th thru July 1st
Classes are 1/2 hour long
Classes run between 9:45 and 10:45 AM

                               or

                                     6:00 and 7:00 PM. 

 

Session 2: 

Weekdays July 11th thru July 22nd

Classes are 1/2 hour long
Classes run between 9:45 and 10:45 AM

                               or

                                     6:00 and 7:00 PM.

 

*Instructors will determine class time frame

Enrollment:

  • Please Enroll by  June 10th for Session 1

  • Please enroll by  July 8th for Session 2

  • Class size is limited

Pricing

  • $45.00 for Members

  • $55.00 for Non-Members

  • Register at pool or email Lessons . 

  • Child MUST be potty trained

  • Any additional questions regarding to Swim Lessons should be directed to the Manager.

Levels

Level 1:

Skills to master:

  • Ten bobs

  • Enter water unassisted

  • Exhaling and blowing bubbles when going underwater

Skills to work on:

  • Blowing bubbles mouth and nose

  • Enter and exit the water safely

  • Jump into water from side

  • Submerging head

  • Moving around using wall

  • Water safety

Games:

  • Ring around the rosy

  • Rocket-ship

  • Treasure Hunt

  • Red light, Green light

  • Simon says

Level 2:

Skills to master:

  • Front and back float for 5 seconds

  • Front and back glide

  • Recovery from floats and stand up on own

Skills to work on:

  • Front and back floats using wall

  • Floats from bottom of the pool

  • Front ready position

  • Kicking with kick-boards or noodles

  • Intro to freestyle arms

  • Intro to streamline position

  • Water Safety

Games:

  • Red light, Green light 

  • Simon says

  • Pushing off the wall through the hula hoop

  • Tidal-wave

 

Level 3:

Skills to master:

  • Kicking in streamline front and back

  • Treading water for 30 seconds

  • Freestyle

  • Able to jump into 5 foot and swim to wall unassisted

  • Dolphin kick

Skills to work on:

  • Front and back kick in streamline

  • Straight legs and pointed toes for kick

  • High elbows and arms out of water for freestyle

  • Intro to backstroke

  • Treading water in deep end, use of noodles to teach balance and arm motion

  • Intro to diving

Games:

  • Red light , green light

  • Treasure hunt in deeper water

  • Diving boards

 

Level 4:

Skills to master:

  • All strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly and Breaststroke)

  • Treading water for 2 min.

  • Diving

  • Flip turns and open turns

Goal:

  • 100 IM (Fly, Back, Breast, Free) with correct turns

Skills to work on:

  • Breaststroke kick ("up, out and around")

  • Breaststroke arm ("eat the ice cream")

  • Butterfly arms ( " 123 positions")

  • Sit dive

  • Knee dive

  • Standing dive

  • Somersaults mid-pool, off the wall, then flip turn

  • Treading water

  • Extended freestyle swims (50-100 meters)
